DPD News

* Idaho National Laboratory recently published a news article featuring their ongoing works collaborated with the CRUNCH group of Brown University via Dr. Zhen Li. This collaboration work was also tweeted, and was retweeted by U.S. Department of Energy. Brown University is their current research partner in the shale energy research, where the DPD methods developed in the CM4 project are used to develop a new way for investigating oil and gas extraction from shale.

* A new J. Chem. Phys. paper addressing the memory effect in DPD models derived from the Mori-Zwanzig formalism and iterative Boltzmann inversion has been selected as the Editor's Pick featured article. Click here to download the paper.

Tutorial Instructors: Yu-Hang Tang,   Changho Kim

This tutorial consists of two main sections that gradually introduce the attendees to Dissipative Particle Dynamics as the practical skills and techniques needed to run DPD simulations.

In the first part, the practical skills for carrying out dissipative particle dynamics simulations using LAMMPS will be introduced in details.

The second part of the tutorial covers the techniques for postprocessing the data, analysis of results and qantification of the statistical errors.
